Yani

Yani Burmeister – Director & Strength & Conditioning Coach

Yani Burmeister founded Global Fitness Personal Training Pty Ltd along with his brother Radjin Burmeister in September 2004. Since then he has become a highly recommended personal trainer and strength & conditioning coach in the wellness industry by many respected physiotherapists and general practitioners. Aligning himself with some of the industry’s leading practitioners has allowed him to specialize in scientific programing and anatomical structural balance. They work together to relieve pain, rehabilitate and or accelerate performance in all aspects of exercise. While he strives to perfect posture & joint stability with the general population, Yani also coaches athletes and aspiring personal trainers with the intent to raise the standard of education in the health and fitness industry.

Yani has a rich background in martial arts, team sports training, boxing, gym training, weights training, lifestyle coaching, weight management, and muscle hypertrophy (body building). Using various methods, Yani accurately assesses human movement for dysfunctions and postural problems. He has the training and skill to design an exercise program to help you attain fitness while correcting back problems, injuries and other physical weaknesses.

Yani has studied the training methodologies of Charles Poliquins strength certification program (PICP) and the methodologies of Paul Chek Exercise coaching program. Yani has also studied at the Sydney Sports & Athletic Performance Centre under Tony Boutagy.

Radjin

Radjin Burmeister – Group Exercise Manager & Senior Personal Trainer

Rad has over 20 years of martial arts experience and had been teaching Kung Fu for more than 10 years. His passion lies in various forms of Kung Fu, including Wing Chun, Jow Ga and Wu Shu, specialising in Northern and Southern Fist. Rad also has experience in Judo, Tae Kwon Do, Karate, Boxing and Kick-Boxing. Rad has taught self-defense courses in groups and on an individual basis; he has extensive training in health and fitness, winning the coveted marksman ship award for excellence in fire arms. He has been full time in the Australian Defense Forces (ADF) infantry since early 2008. Rad is the group exercise manager for Global Fitness Personal Training. His experience with the ADF is a major asset when designing programs for fitness and outdoor group exercise.

Currently Rad is serving in the ADF full time and he is stationed in East Timor.

Nathan

Nathan Kelly – Outdoor Group Exercise & Senior Personal Trainer

Nathan has been a personal trainer since 2002. He served in the Royal Australian Navy Dive branch. He has also played many different sports at school including rugby, football (soccer), touch, where he made the state team, netball, volleyball, squash and athletics where he was a 400 metre finalist at the state championships.

Nathan has 10+ years weight training and military “boot camp” experience. Nathan’s core skills are muscle building (hypertrophy), strength, weight loss/management, cardiovascular interval training and group fitness (boot camp).

Nathan’s qualifications include:

Joe

Joe Lim – Soft Tissue Physical Therapist

Joe previously worked in the health and fitness industry as a senior personal trainer & strength coach for over 4 years. He now specializes in the treatment soft-tissue dysfunctions. These dysfunctions can exist even in the absence of any painful symptoms, but once addressed, will enable the client to train to their best potential. Joe firmly believes that to maximise a client’s results, you have to address their soft-tissue restrictions first, THEN you can train them effectively. Just like nutritional factors can influence over 80% of a person’s weight loss attempts, treating soft-tissue dysfunctions, even minor ones, can lead to a 50-80% better chance of them developing increased strength/muscle gain and subsequently better fat loss results.

Joe has a Diploma of Remedial Massage and is a practicing Active Release Technique
(A.R.T.) therapist. In 2006, Joe completed an advanced strength training internship with Charles Poliquin (a world renowned Strength Coach). During the internship, Charles demonstrated some revolutionary soft-tissue manipulation techniques on some students, called Active Release Techniques (A.R.T.), which led to immediate strength and flexibility increases in the muscles just treated. Joe has witnessed the remarkable potential of A.R.T. firsthand.

Joe is a physical therapist who can effectively treat a variety of muscle, joint and nerve dysfunctions.
